Update on Hong Kong Demonstrations
As of Friday 24 October the streets of Hong Kong remain relatively quiet with many roads re-opening for businesses to resume service. The number of protesters visible on the streets hasĀ significantly diminished with just three protest sites remaining. These sites are now centered in Causeway Bay and Admiralty near the main government legislative offices on Hong Kong Island and in Mong Kok, Kowloon.
There has been some hostility in Mong Kok between the Hong Kong Taxi Drivers Association and protesters, with the police intervening to prevent any further escalation.
Transfers and shuttle bus services to and from Hong Kong Airport are running as per normal schedule, though minor delays can be expected on the roads surrounding the affected areas. The MTR is running its normal service on all lines and Cruise Asia by Destination Asia tours are operating as per regular schedules.
The safety of your clientele is paramount to Cruise Asia by Destination Asia Hong Kong. We therefore currently advise visitors keep away from the protest sites in Mong Kok, Causeway Bay and Admiralty. Cruise Asia by Destination Asia Hong Kong will continue to monitor the situation closely and update as necessary.
