RCL expands into Hong Kong

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCL) is expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific region with the opening of an office in Hong Kong, where it shall also homeport the Royal Caribbean International’s Voyager of the Seas.

Sailings into and out of Hong Kong will commence in summer 2015. On 26 June, Voyager of the Seas will sail from Beijing to her new homeport in Hong Kong on a six night itinerary and offer a further 22 sailings in October. The three to ten-night cruises will call at ports in Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan, as well as destinations in China.

Hong Kong has great potential as a homeport for the Chinese market and boasts an excellent location with a host of experiences to offer. After the opening of the international-calibre Kai Tak Cruise Terminal last year, the HKTB has intensified promotion of Hong Kong’s appeal as a cruise destination through dedicated campaigns – placing it firmly in the spotlight.

Our Cruise Asia by Destination Asia office is led by the experienced Katie Buxton and her cruise team. For enquiries or information on Hong Kong as a home port please contact our team at [email protected]
