Marina Bay Cruise Centre Gets Upgrade

The Marina Bay Cruise Center (MBCC) occupies 28,000sqm with the capability to accommodate the world’s largest ships, making it one of Asia’s most iconic and important cruise terminals. Its dedicated two berth facility is located at the southern tip of central Singapore, all within close proximity to the airport and city center. Now approaching the two year mark since opening, a number of areas are being improved with a multi-million dollar upgrade currently taking place.

The improvements include; A new sky bridge on berth 1 to match the two existing sky bridges on berth 2; Developments to the luggage handling system allowing swifter passenger service on check-in; Additional metal detectors in the arrival hall to enable passengers faster exit; Streamlined routes through the terminal to improve traffic flow and a new taxi boarding platform. Work has been ongoing for a number of months with completion scheduled for 01 October 2014.

Cruise Asia by Destination Asia (Singapore) operates from both the Marina Bay Cruise Center (MBCC) and Singapore Cruise Center (SCC) which is located in the southern region of the city.
