HKTB Steps Up Regional Cruise Partnerships
The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is actively pursuing new partnership opportunities with neighboring ports in a bid to promote the development of the cruise industry within the region. HKTB recently announced that regional co-operation would be the key to positive industry development.
Royal Caribbean Cruises has scheduled two additional sailings of Mariner of the Seas to Taiwan in October and November this year with Hong Kong identified as the home port. These have already proven extremely popular with advance bookings exceeding 70% of capacity within two weeks of going on sale. The HKTB will continue to explore regional collaboration of this kind as it forms an important factor towards industry development and will drive further business.
