On the Ground in Komodo National Park
A team from Destination Asia HQ took their video cameras to Komodo National Park following the Indonesian government’s announcement in 2019 they were going to conduct an evaluation of the National Park’s management. After officials decided that Komodo National Park must be sustainably managed by central and regional governments, we wanted to see for ourselves the current situation on the ground. It was great to see Cruise Asia by Destination Asia staff working side by side with local officials, expertly managing passengers and providing the rare opportunity to discover the flora and fauna of Komodo. Our team in Indonesia has worked closely with Travelife for over 3 years to ensure operations comply not only with local laws, but also guidelines set by sustainable tourism bodies.
